Individual Therapy

Marko Mihailovic is an active and person-centered therapist who is focused on your goals and tailor his approach to your unique needs.  Throughout this collaborative process, he will guide you to change your irrational thinking patterns and unhelpful behavior by focusing on solutions without over-analyzing the past.  Marko will educate you about psychological principles applicable to your goals and will teach you useful skills that will help you to deal not only with your current problems, but also with problems you might encounter in the future.

Individual therapy can help you to:

At the initial session, Marko will help you set up goals for your sessions and follow-up sessions will help you to stay accountable for your goals.  He uses a directive and active approach of asking questions, offering constant feedback, and guiding the session’s focus in a manner which produces results.

Marko developed his unique therapy style because he believes that  the best way to help you is to use an integrative eclectic approach.  His therapy style combines  techniques from the following approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness including Meditation, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology.

Individual counseling sessions are available in person in Chicago, IL and online (via HIPAA compliant online platform).
